This is a rare and incredible example of an antique Burmese Indochina style pictorial repoussé bracelet bangle, estimated to be mid 1900’s. The bracelet is very wide and done in high relief, depicting two Makara serpents as the focal point.
Such a beautiful piece, with high, deep intricate detail throughout. A very rare and collectible piece.
The Indochina region was composed of modern day Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam and lasted from approximately 1893 – 1950, when it was dissolved and soon after these three nations gained independence.
