Vintage High Grade Silver Omani Bedouin Amulet Hirz Prayer Box Necklace Pendant 225 grams
Beautifully made & with a lovely original patina, a rare, large Hirz amulet necklace from Oman. The Hirz is a prayer box in which religious verses or written incantations were sealed inside to protect the wearer. As the wearer moves, a soft jingling sound is made by the dangle drops. Noise is thought to drive djin (evil spirits) away.
The front surface has vibrant, gold plated (now slightly worn off), silver raised circles, surrounded by a beaded detail design.

Box length 3.8" (including the width of the dangle rings on the edge)
Box height 4.5" (including the dangle drop)

Sizing details
I make all my handmade rings, bracelets and pendants to the size requested at checkout. For vintage items, especially bracelets and bangle cuffs please check all measurements in the listing description. Checking sizes against your own jewellery is a good way also to confirm the fit. Please get in contact if you need any help with sizing.

International postage usually takes 5-7 days to arrive in your country from dispatch, then it's down to customs processing in the buyers country. I supply tracking numbers and timescale info via email for all orders.
